1st Surf Session in March 2014

Another day at the BEACH!!!!!  Just call me...HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY.  This is the life I was THINKING ABOUT when we talked about Retirement...

Here in Central Florida, it's in the upper 70s and it's the 1st week in March.  While the rest of the United States is dealing with cold weather AND the wintery snow mix, we are spending almost every day at the beach.

I really wasn't into going to surf on this day because the surf forecast called for North winds (heavy cross) in the morning shifting to East winds (on shore) in the afternoon.  It also said that the swell would only be waist to stomach high....boy did they get this WRONG!

The surf was a little choppy, but the swell coming in was definitely chest to head high....and it was closing out with a lot of white water.  So, when we first arrived at the beach, I decided to NOT paddle out...but the wind turned offshore and the swell continued to grow.   I finally paddled out to some enjoyable surf...nothing special today, but it was still surfing.

Today was a day of enjoying the sand, sun and surf...OH HAPPY DAYS :)
